Greetings to you, dearly beloved, in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
I am delighted to welcome you to the website of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, formerly known as St. Philip & St. Thomas Episcopal Church, the two historic African American Episcopal Churches in the Twin Cities of Minnesota since the 1800. After 100 plus years of the successful mission works of St. Philip’s in Saint Paul and St. Thomas in South Minneapolis, both congregations resolved to merge on January 27, 2008 as a result of their common histories. The merger missional paradigm was precipitated by the changed missional realities of both congregations.
As you navigate our website, it is my hope and prayer that you will be informed about who we are, enlightened by our missional initiatives, and above all inspired about the new faith journey of our faith community. Finally, you are invited and encouraged to worship with us and become a member if you so desired. We currently worship at 11 am at 1636 Van Buren Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55104 until we settle in a church home. Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is the new name of the church since February 5, 2012. Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is a multicultural, warm, and hospitable congregation; come and visit with us!
